First Narcotics Anonymous Public Relations Week
We are excited to announce the First Narcotics Anonymous Public Relations Week, scheduled for 3-9 June 2019. This event will take place the first week of June each year. The theme and slogan for this years PR Week is We All Are PR.
We encourage every area, regional, and zonal PR subcommittee to commit to at least one activity during PR week. We are offering suggestions, but we look forward to your creative choices of what works best for your subcommittee and your NA community. Whether your PR team is young or seasoned, rural or urban; whether you have just a few or many members, we hope you will all come together enthusiastically to increase awareness of PR service and of the NA recovery program.
Check out the PR Activity page, which will include a PR Week link where, we will offer ideas for t-shirts, samples of flyers and posters, and a link to local resources submitted by worldwide PR subcommittees: http://www.na.org/pr_act
If youre seeking PR tools for your PR Week event, you may order from na.org and receive a 10% discount by [entering the code PRWEEK] [including the code PRWEEK in the comments section of your order].
If you have any questions, please write worldboard@na.org. Please take pictures of your activities, (bearing in mind that we cannot publicly publish photos of members faces), and send to pr@na.org.

WCNA REGISTRATION OPEN SEPT 25 at 10 AM
We know everyone is excited about WCNA 37, and we are happy to announce that the registration and hotel accommodations website will go live on Monday, 25 September 2017 at 10:00 am PDT! Links will be posted at www.na.org/?ID=wcna-index
PRE-REGISTRATION
There are many advantages to pre-registering, and one incentive is that all members who pre-register by 31 July 2018 (without cancellation) will be entered in a drawing for two (2) full convention packages, including registration and all WCNA special event tickets! (Does not include pre-reg merchandise.)
HOTEL OPTIONS
While we realize many people are accustomed to booking hotel rooms on their own, it really helps WCNA when you book rooms in our room block. As an encouragement to pre-register and book rooms in our room block, if you do so by 31 July 2018 (without cancellation), you will be automatically entered into a drawing for a free, three-night stay at one of the WCNA hotels. We will randomly select two pre-registrants and cover their room and tax charges for the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights of WCNA.
CONVENTION EVENTS
We are excited about having Mike Zito & Anders Osborne for the Thursday afternoon Blues Luncheon. They are a powerful blues force that will surely move your soles and your souls. We’ll provide more details about Zito and Osborne on the Convention Events pages; in the meantime, you can check out one of their videos at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WnAo4V8T7o
Join us for the Friday morning Jazz Brunch with Keiko Matsui and Euge Groove. Matsui is an internationally acclaimed pianist and composer who will pair up with veteran smooth jazz saxophonist Euge Groove. Check out these remarkable artists at www.keikomatsui.com and www.eugegroove.com and on our Convention Events pages.
Alonzo Bodden will headline the Saturday night Comedy Show, and he’ll be bringing along a few of his hilarious friends, too. Bodden is well known for his cynically good-natured social and political humor and as the winner of Last Comic Standing. Check him out at www.alonzobodden.com.
We’ve also confirmed artists for two coffeehouse events: Nakia and the Blues Grifters and Orchestra Fuego.
We’re very close to finalizing additional performers for the comedy show and concert, so we’ll provide updated information as it becomes available—but you need not wait to register. Special event seating assignments are based on your pre-registration date, not by the date you purchase the tickets. The key to getting the best seats is to register early.
BEING OF SERVICE
Interested in being considered as a WCNA main speaker or workshop speaker or want to participate in the WCNA 37 speaker evaluation process? We’ll make that information available on the website 10 October 2017.
We’ll have more information in the spring of 2018 on other ways you can help before and at the Convention.
